Food plays a hugely important role in the culture of many different countries and regions, much of which is markedly different than the food we eat here in the United States on a daily basis. In the US, we’re fond of foods like hamburgers, sloppy joes, macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, french fries, hot dogs and pizza, many of which may be considered strange in another country. So it comes as no surprise that there are foods in other regions and other countries considered to be delicacies that would turn many a stomach here.
