Physical Assets of the Community

Mapping the physical assets of the community presents another obvious starting point for the community building process. In most cases local government, federal agencies, university research departments or contractors of all the above have done this for you. The Census provides all kinds of demographics tied to people. The USDA and state agriculture programs provide all kinds of data tied to agriculture, soil and hydrology.
