The God Who Loves Flowers

His love of flowers shows how much He loves you.

God created flowers on the third day of creation (Genesis 1:11–13).

God created many different kinds of flowers with many different colors. Flowers are grown and admired for their beauty in cultures worldwide.

Did you know that God’s care for flowers highlights his care for you? Jesus reminded us of this fact.

Jesus’ point is that God cares for even the flowers that grow in the field. If God cares about the wildflowers, how much more does He care about you?

Our lives are also compared to the short life of the flowers.

Just as flowers bloom for a short time, our lives are also brief.

However, the word of God “lives and abides forever” (1 Peter 1:23). We are born again (John 3:3–5) through the incorruptible seed — the word of God. The implanted word of God “is able to save your souls” (James 1:21).

God cares for the flowers — but He loves you even more. He wants you to obey Him out of love (John 14:15) so that you can be saved (2 Peter 3:9).

The flowers show God’s power and God’s love for you and me. The next time you admire the beautiful flowers, remember:
