Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour launches Monday

From manager Dave Roberts serving as grand marshal in the Kingdom Day Parade, to “Justin Turner Day” at City Hall, to hosting first responders and honoring the memory of those lost in the Borderline tragedy, the Dodgers will spend all next week supporting the community that supports them every year.

The Dodgers’ 16th annual community service week starts Monday, Jan. 21, and will continue through Friday, Jan. 25. The Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour presented by Bank of America is a week of community outreach and fan appreciation, including nine events featuring Dodger players, coaches, alumni, broadcasters and Bank of America employee volunteers.

This year’s Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour highlights the team’s commitment to the many different communities it serves, visiting with fans throughout the area from South Los Angeles (Kingdom Day Parade) to West Los Angeles (Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and Bob Hope USO) to Thousand Oaks, where the team will host those affected by the Borderline tragedy for lunch.

The full week of events lead up to the team’s annual FanFest presented by Coca-Cola and San Manuel Casino on Saturday, Jan. 26, at Dodger Stadium.

Chargois, Dylan Floro, David Freese, Rocky Gale, Kenta Maeda, Adam McCreery, Edwin Rios, Keibert Ruiz, Dennis Santana, Josh Sborz, Jaime Schultz, Brock Stewart, Ross Stripling, Chris Taylor, Justin Turner, Alex Verdugo and Dave Roberts are expected to attend Friday’s events.
