I created the YouTube Channel “Marisol dot Today” on September 16th, 2020, and published my first video on September 20th, 2020.
Here, I share my highs and lows for the first 3 weeks. Have I stayed up late at night thinking about what topic to do my next video? Have I shared my YouTube video everywhere? Am I thinking about my next YouTube video right now? Yes to all questions.

YouTube Analytics Summary
Now, let’s examine closely those numbers because I dream of them at night.
11 videos
I thought at first, I’d do a video a day but it ended up being exhausting between work, dinner, shower, exercise, etc. So instead, I decided to record 6 videos in 1 day.
What a feat! I separated 6 different outfits, took out 2 different lipsticks, had my makeup remover ready, and wrote in my notebook the 6 different video ideas. It ended up being super fun and probably the most productive day I had in all of 2020.
I filmed the rest of the videos at 5:00 pm sharp since I was still in “work mode” from the 8 hours of the regular workday.
5 public watch hours
I think about this number a lot. To become a YouTube partner, you need 4000 public watch hours. I find myself browsing other people’s YouTube channels with 100k views and millions of subscribers and compare myself to them. It is not a pretty use of my time.
